Monroe, NC

Multi-phased campus expansion totaling approximately 143,000 SF, supporting the continued growth of Union Academy’s K–12 charter school campus.

DETAILS

The project included multiple new buildings, additions, and site improvements delivered across several phases on an active school campus. Major components include a 69,000 SF two-story lower school building, a 32,000 SF upper school classroom addition, a 24,000 SF competition gymnasium, and a 16,000 SF locker room and fine arts facility. The scope also included construction of athletic fields, a concessions building, and extensive site improvements to improve parking, circulation, and campus logistics.

Work was carefully planned and sequenced to maintain school operations, prioritize student safety, and minimize disruptions to operations throughout construction. Design-Build delivery and preconstruction collaboration played a key role in aligning scope, budget, and schedule across multiple phases.
