Construction

We understand that successful construction requires more than simply managing the work in the field.

Success requires detailed coordination, accountability, and the ability to adapt to the unique challenges of each project. Our project managers, superintendents, and field teams work closely with owners, design partners, and trade partners to keep teams aligned, decisions moving, and work progressing safely and efficiently.

The communication and attention to detail has been superb… no issues, they are doing a great job.

From mobilization through closeout, strong field leadership keeps the project moving.

Our teams manage the day-to-day details of construction through proactive scheduling, logistics planning, trade partner coordination, procurement tracking, and consistent communication with the entire project team.

Regular planning and hands-on field oversight allow us to identify upcoming needs, coordinate around project constraints, and address issues as they arise. Whether working on a new development, within an occupied facility, or around ongoing operations, our approach is tailored to the conditions and priorities of each project.

Preconstruction Handoff & Mobilization

Before work begins, our preconstruction and operations teams align on the final budget, schedule, procurement status, site logistics, and key project priorities. This coordinated transition carries critical project knowledge and decisions directly into the field and prepares the team for mobilization.

Key Focus Areas

  • Final budget and scope alignment
  • Schedule and milestone review
  • Procurement and long-lead material status
  • Site logistics and sequencing
  • Permit and utility coordination
  • Project kickoff and mobilization

Construction & Field Execution

During construction, our teams focus on safety, quality, communication, and proactive coordination throughout every phase of the project. Through consistent field oversight, regular project meetings, and detailed schedule management, we work to maintain progress while minimizing disruption to ongoing operations.

Key Focus Areas
  • Field supervision and trade coordination
  • Safety and quality management
  • Schedule updates and milestone tracking
  • OAC meetings and project communication
  • Submittal and RFI coordination
  • Active campus & facility coordination

Closeout & Turnover

As construction nears completion, our team works closely with the owner to support a smooth transition into occupancy. We remain engaged through training, punchlist completion, documentation turnover, and warranty support to help ensure long-term project success.

Key Focus Areas

  • Owner training and move-in coordination
  • Punchlist completion
  • Systems and maintenance documentation
  • As-builts and closeout materials
  • Warranty support
  • AHJ inspections, etc

Safety & Quality - Built Into Every Project.

Safety and quality are integrated into how we plan, coordinate, and execute every project. Experienced leadership, proactive planning, and consistent field oversight help protect people, reduce risk, minimize rework, and maintain project expectations throughout construction.

Safety

Safety is a shared culture of responsibility across every Myers & Chapman teammate and every project. Led by our full-time Safety Manager, our program combines proactive planning, ongoing training, routine field inspections, and daily accountability from mobilization through completion. Our teams establish safety expectations through site-specific logistics planning, safety orientations, clearly defined work zones, and project sequencing to protect workers, occupants, visitors, and ongoing operations.

Our Safety Dashboard is the heart of communicating safety information with our trade partners. Teams perform safety checks, weekly toolbox talks, emergency action and fire prevention planning, subcontractor safety reviews, and periodic focused safety stand-downs. Trained field personnel reinforce expectations throughout the project and help identify potential concerns before they impact the work.

Quality

Quality is actively managed from preconstruction through final turnover. Our project managers and superintendents establish expectations early through constructability reviews, scope coordination, and trade partner involvement, then maintain those standards through ongoing field oversight and inspections as work progresses.

For critical scopes, pre-installation meetings establish sequencing, responsibilities, details, and quality benchmarks before installation begins. Mockups, testing, and coordinated reviews help validate materials, systems, and installation approaches before full-scale execution, reducing rework and helping ensure the finished project performs as designed.
