Charlotte, NC

Renovation and redevelopment of a 100,000 SF retail center originally constructed by Myers & Chapman in the 80’s. This new modernization enhanced the overall customer experience and repositioned the property within a competitive commercial corridor.

DETAILS

The project included extensive demolition and reconstruction of the front façade to create a refreshed and contemporary retail environment. The scope of work also included significant site improvements and repairs, such as the installation of a large underground sand filter, new site lighting, asphalt paving, sidewalks, and updated landscaping to enhance both functionality and visual appeal.

A portion of the existing structures was selectively demolished to create a new central courtyard, featuring pavers, seat walls, trellises, and a defined architectural focal point. These enhancements were designed to create a more engaging, pedestrian-friendly environment that supports tenant visibility and customer interaction.

Construction was executed within an active shopping center, requiring detailed phasing, logistics planning, and continuous coordination with tenants to maintain access and uninterrupted operations. Close collaboration during preconstruction ensured alignment of scope, budget, and design objectives, supporting efficient execution throughout the project.
