Charlotte, NC

Two separate projects completed for Bradford Preparatory School, including a new elementary school campus and two additional classroom additions to support continued growth and facility needs.

DETAILS

The new campus project includes the construction of a 39,000 SF elementary school consisting of three wood-framed buildings, along with full site development across an 11-acre site. The new facilities were designed to provide a cohesive and functional learning environment while expanding capacity for Bradford Preparatory’s growing student population.

In addition to the original campus development, Myers & Chapman delivered two subsequent phases, consisting of Lower- and Upper-school classroom additions totaling approximately 9,000 SF. Work was completed within an active campus environment and strategically scheduled during key periods, including summer break, to minimize disruption and ensure spaces were ready for the start of the academic year. The overall scope emphasizes continuity across campus facilities, supporting both existing operations and long-term growth.

ARCHITECT/DESIGNER

Weber Murphy Fox (New School) / Mussman Architects, PA. (Expansion)

I just wanted to say thank you for everything you all did to deliver on the expansion project! Not only was it the first construction project we have done in the life of the school to be completed on time and on budget, but it was also the best managed project we have experienced from a communication standpoint as well as impact to the staff. We’ll be in touch some day in the future when we have our next construction project!
