Charlotte, NC

Redevelopment of an existing commercial center into a modern mixed-use destination featuring Publix Super Market as the anchor tenant, office, and a two-story structured parking garage.

DETAILS

The project includes phased construction of new retail, office, and supporting infrastructure within an active commercial corridor. Major components include a new structured parking system, construction of a banking services facility, a 30,000 SF retail/office building, and a 50,500 SF Publix Super Market grocery store, including both shell and interior upfit.

Phase 1 included the initial parking deck, new banking branch, and significant site and roadway improvements. This phase required careful coordination of the transition from the existing facility, including maintaining operations, managing relocation, and sequencing demolition of the previous structure.
Phase 2 included the expansion of the structured parking system, the construction of the lower-level deck slab, and the delivery of the 30,000 SF retail/office building. Phase 3 completed development with the construction of the 50,500 SF Publix, which serves as the retail anchor for the site.

The overall project required extensive sitework, demolition, roadway and utility improvements, and installation of infrastructure to support long-term development. Work was carefully sequenced to maintain tenant operations throughout construction, requiring detailed coordination of demolition, site development, and vertical construction within an active environment.
