Field Operations Manager
With over two decades of construction experience, Will Dowd leads field operations for Myers & Chapman, bringing extensive jobsite leadership and a deep understanding of what it takes to successfully deliver complex projects. His career has been spent working closely with field teams, trade partners, and clients, giving him firsthand insight into the challenges and opportunities that shape project success from the ground up.
Will's background includes significant experience delivering complex projects on active, occupied campuses that require careful planning, communication, and coordination, as well as sophisticated logistics considerations. Known for his practical, field-first approach, he leverages decades of experience to help teams anticipate challenges, manage risk, and maintain strong communication throughout construction. His leadership reinforces a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement, ensuring every project reflects Myers & Chapman's commitment to safety, quality, and an exceptional client experience.
A U.S. Navy veteran, Will remains committed to serving others and supporting those who have served. He actively participates in charity events with Combat Warriors, hosting combat veterans during turkey and deer hunting seasons and helping create opportunities for fellowship and connection. His dedication to service reflects the leadership, respect, and sense of responsibility that continue to shape both his career and community involvement.
Will is OSHA 30-Hour and First Aid/CPR certified, a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Certified Site Inspector, and certified in Mecklenburg County Soil & Erosion Control.
Originally from Garner, North Carolina, Will has called Kannapolis home for more than 20 years, where he and his wife raised their two children. Outside of work, Will enjoys hunting, saltwater fishing, hiking, sports, and spending time outdoors.
