Jason Rainey

Senior Design Manager


With more than 20 years of construction experience, Jason Rainey helps owners navigate the decisions, challenges, and complexities that arise between project vision and project execution. His background in design management, preconstruction, constructability, and project delivery allows him to guide teams through planning and design with a focus on clarity, alignment, and informed decision-making.

Jason is known for bringing structure and direction to complex projects, helping stakeholders evaluate options, understand impacts, and move forward with confidence. He works closely with owners, design partners, consultants, end users, and project teams to keep project goals, budget expectations, schedule requirements, and operational needs aligned throughout the design process. His experience includes technically complex projects where coordination, facility operations, and existing building conditions play a critical role in project success.

His experience spans design-build, design-assist, and construction management projects across a variety of market sectors, providing him with a broad perspective on project delivery and the challenges that can emerge before construction begins. As a licensed Professional Engineer, Jason combines technical expertise with practical construction knowledge to help clients reduce risk, avoid surprises, and make decisions that support long-term project success.

Jason holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Construction Engineering and Management from North Carolina State University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer, LEED Accredited Professional, and licensed General Contractor.

Outside of work, Jason enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, often coaching baseball and staying involved in their many sporting activities. Whether he's in the kitchen trying a new recipe or sharing a great bottle of wine with family and friends, he values the relationships and community that make the Hickory area home.
