With more than three decades of experience, Barry Cutshall leads Myers & Chapman's preconstruction team, shaping how the company partners with owners and design teams to deliver value from the earliest stages of a project. Since joining Myers & Chapman in 2018, he has advanced the company's collaborative preconstruction process and strengthened its design-build capabilities, helping clients make informed decisions throughout the planning and design phases.

A longtime champion of design-build delivery, Barry has been actively involved with DBIA since the late 1990s. As Senior Vice President of Preconstruction, he establishes the strategy, standards, and processes that guide preconstruction, drawing on deep industry relationships and practical experience to solve complex planning challenges.

Originally from Lincolnton, North Carolina, Barry now lives in Fort Mill with his family. Outside of work, he enjoys backpacking, hiking, and spending time outdoors. He also serves as an elder at Warehouse 242, where his family has been actively involved since the church was founded in 1999. Since 2018, Barry has participated in annual mission trips to communities outside Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic through Warehouse 242 and By Grace Alone Ministries.

Barry currently serves as Chair of the DBIA Carolinas Chapter and is a DBIA Professional, continuing to champion the collaborative approach and innovation that define design-build. He holds both a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Construction and a Master of Construction Engineering and Management from North Carolina State University and is also a LEED Accredited Professional.
