Rock Hill, SC

Historic renovation transforming an abandoned office building into a hospitality destination within a mixed-use development focused on community engagement and revitalization.

DETAILS

The project includes the adaptive reuse of an existing structure into a 59-room boutique hotel, delivered in partnership with Raines, Noble Food & Pursuits, Comporium, and WinthropLIFE. The development is driven by a mission-focused approach, integrating hospitality, community, and workforce development initiatives.

The design preserves and incorporates historic elements of the original building, including the mezzanine, wrought iron features, and antique light fixtures, while introducing modern hospitality programming. Interior spaces include a ballroom that accommodates approximately 100 guests, along with design elements that offer subtle references to Rock Hill’s history and character.

Construction is coordinated within a broader mixed-use environment, requiring alignment across multiple stakeholders and project partners. The facility is positioned as a key anchor within the development, supporting guest experience while contributing to economic growth and community activation. A significant aspect of the project is its partnership with WinthropLIFE, a program focused on supporting students with intellectual and developmental disabilities through workforce training opportunities within the hospitality environment.
